The Brandon M. Stephenson 4.4 mile memorial run/walk

Run for his life, and run for yours. A day of remembrance and a day to celebrate being alive. By participating in this run/walk, we will be honoring Brandon's life by not taking our own for granted. Live this day and everyday to it's fullest and... run for your life.

Brandon was the son of Barry Stephenson and step-son of Dee Christie. Brandon died at the too young age of 23 while attending College of Charleston in South Carolina. He was a great young man who during his years participated in the summer swim team in St. Albans, where the race is being held. He is missed terribly by all who knew him.

This run is to benefit a scholarship fund that was created in Brandon's honor at Burlington High School where he was a 1998 graduate. This year, after having the support of the St. Albans area community, we are also starting the scholarship at BFA. The BFA class of 2009 will be the first class to receive this scholarship.

The start and finish of the race will be at the St. Albans City Pool where Dee has been a constant for over 20 years. Lifeguards will be on duty for those who want to cool down after the race in the pool, so bring your suit!

Bikers, rollerbladers and friendly dogs are all welcome to come and participate!
